- epT.I.P.S. LoRetention pipette tip and ep Dualfilter T.I.P.S. LoRetention filter tips are ideal for use with samples containing surfactants. Liquids containing surfactants reduce surface tension. This causes the chip surface to become wet: liquid remains on the chip wall and cannot be collected. A significant amount of valuable samples have been found in the invisible coating left on the standard chip, which has also been discarded. Especially for sensitive PCR and real-timePCR applications, low adsorption surfaces can improve reproducibility and significantly reduce the loss of expensive reagents.

- Maximum reproducibility in genomics :
- epT.I.P.S. LoRetention is especially recommended for applications such as PCR and real-timePCR, where maximum analytical accuracy for DNA/RNA analysis is required. For example, expensive master mixes and enzyme solutions tend to remain on the inner wall of the chip. Specially treated, low adsorptive surfaces have been developed to maximize surfactant solution bounce and handle valuable samples with minimal loss.
