• The shallow bottom of the well allows for a smaller total volume of 100 μL for 96 wells and 30 μL for 384 wells, allowing for a smaller than normal amount of reagents and other materials.
• Applications such as AlphaScreen and SPA benefit from increased detection sensitivity because the distance from the detector, such as a plate reader, to the reaction solution is reduced.
• Gray plates provide a low background on the CCD imaging system.
